CLASS INFORMATION

We offer three fun classes for your children during our Sunday morning worship service!

Our nursery is dedicated to children aged two years old and younger. Parents and family members are invited to drop their kids off with one of our loving nursery volunteers, or you can choose to stay in the nursery with your child. The worship service is live-streamed into the room, so you won't miss a thing if you choose to stay!

Our preschool class is for all kids aged two years old through kindergarten. Each week, we focus on a story from the Bible, sing songs, make crafts, and play games together! All of these fun activities are carefully planned to help point your child toward knowing and loving Jesus.

Our elementary Children's Church class is for all kids in first through fifth grades. Our elementary students stay with their families in the worship service through the opening music and prayer time, and then they head to class with their friends! We use The Gospel Project curriculum during class. The Gospel Project studies the stories of Scripture with special emphasis on how each story points to Christ and contributes to God’s bigger rescue story.

SAFETY

We are honored to disciple your precious kids alongside you on Sunday mornings, and keeping them safe while they are in our care is our top priority! All of our staff, volunteers, and church leaders undergo a background check and complete an online safety training program each year. They also receive in-person training on First EPC's Safe Child Policy at least once per year.

First-time visitors are asked to fill out a check-in form for their child upon arrival. Please be sure to let our volunteers know if your child has any special food allergies or medical needs, so we can make appropriate accommodations to keep your child safe.

We love to have fun with our families and kids, and we host several special events throughout the year that you won't want to miss! Follow us on social media and be on the lookout for more details about our Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, Trunk-or-Treat, and more!

It is important to us to support parents, grandparents, and caregivers as you disciple your child at home. Throughout the year, we offer families many age-appropriate resources designed to help you take simple steps toward building a lasting foundation of faith for your child. Our elementary kids are invited to participate in leading during the worship service several times per year, and we love to see them use their gifts to honor and worship the Lord! They are also invited to join the Kokomo Community Handbell Choir. This group is open to anyone in third grade or older who is interested in learning how to read music and ring handbells. The group is co-directed by a member of First EPC, and they share their special music during our worship service several times throughout the year.
